Since 1983, SI Mass Production GmbH has been a leading production company in the paper, office and stationery (PBS) sector. With more than 100 employees in Germany, we manufacture more than 10000 different product variants from the fields of flat files, clip-on folders, brochure covers, file covers, indexes and stationery. In addition, our toolmaking enables us to produce any foil product made of PP or alternatively PVC at short notice. In addition to our own-produced products, we offer a wide range of commercial products.
Thanks to an exceptional performance network of employees and technology, we occupy and outstanding position in Germany and in more than 45 countries worldwide. The success of our customers is the measure of our actions.

1984
The Loer and Schäfer GmbH is founded by the friends Bruno Löer & Johannes Schäfer in Büren, Hegensdorf. They started with the production of folders.
1989
The existing premises became too small and the company moved into the industrial area Bad Wünnenberg-Haaren in the purchased industrial halls of the American company Hubbard.
1991
The first extension of 1000 sqm is inaugurated. In the meantime the second product line of writing pads proves to be very successful.
1992
Under patent number B42F13 the Manila carton folder is registered as an invention by Bruno Löer and Johannes Schäfer.
1994
The folder department moves to the new 1600 sqm facility.
2001
Logistics performance plays an increasingly important role in our industry. The first high-shelf warehouse with a capacity of 2200 pallet spaces was inaugurated along with the connected new dispatch hall.
2003
The increasing export business must be taken into account. The trademark LANDS is registered under which a large number of articles can be purchased by the carton.
2007
The company SÜBA Mappenfabrik in Kehl is acquired and re-founded. 40 jobs could be secured locally. There, special items are produced in short runs. The company quickly specialized in the processing of PVC material for the gastronomy and industrial sectors. From this day, menus and collection folders join our product family.
A former competitor IPL Plastik becomes insolvent. Loer & Schäfer takes over the machinery and secures 35 jobs. From this day, the Bad Wünnenberg site will also manufacture brochure sleeves, file sleeves and registers.
2008
Due to the enormous growth in the previous years, a further warehouse for 2000 pallet spaces is created and shortly afterwards commissioned. In the meantime, work is carried out on an area of over 9000 sqm.
2009
the company massively increases its capacity in the area of writing pads and expands its portfolio to include book protection sleeves, binding foil and cover pads.
2010
The first certification according to DIN ISO9001 quality management takes place. In the following years, environmental management ISO14001, energy management ISO5001 and the SEDEX social audit are added.
2012
Our new data protection range is introduced under the registered trademark HIDENTITY.
2013
Another 1600 sqm finished goods warehouse including picking area is inaugurated.
2014
Loer & Schäfer gets another sister. The Detmold based company Idee & Design, which specializes in point of sale and promotional items, rounds off the existing range perfectly.
2015
The second generation, Christopher Löer and Jan Schäfer, take over the management as planned. The Brause brand is reactivated for writing pads and the production facilities for registers and sleeves are greatly expanded.
2017
A new raw material warehouse with additional 2400 storage spaces is added.
2019
Sale of SÜBA Mappenfabrik GmbH and VivaLS GmbH. Relaunch of the LANDS brand and expansion of the portfolio to cover the entire range of book and file protection as well as laminating foil.
2020
Family Loer decided to sell all shares of the complete group of companies to the Schaefer family. Christopher Loer stepped back as CEO and was replaced by Benedikt Schaefer. The company will be renamed to SI Mass Production GmbH.
With SI Czech S.R.O and Casanova Schaefer Hong Kong Ltd. we strengthened our sales and purchasing network.
